Happy Tuesday Everyone! We stumbled across a great article today on CNN about a family that won $10,000 in a Fitness Challenge. ( You can read the article below.) The article says, “Last year, a Mayo Clinic study found people who received financial incentives stuck with healthy behaviors longer — losing, on average, seven more pounds than their colleagues whose wallets weren’t linked to weight loss.”

Stop the Pain Conference,featuring Dave Pelzer, to be held in Riverside

This weekend (April 20) the Positive Results Corporation, in partnership with Women Wonder Writers and Street Positive, is bringing the “Stop the Pain: Teen Summit on Dating Violence,Stop the Pain Flyer Sex Trafficking and Bullying Prevention” at California Baptist University. The summit is for young men & women ages 12 to 22 and their parents and is completely free. The summit will cover a variety of topics, see below, and will include “an anti-violence youth performance, proceeded by a panel discussion on how these issues impact our youth, families, schools and the community. We then will move to breakout sessions covering the above-mentioned topics to educate, train and encourage prevention.” In addition, award-winning author of the book “A Child Called It” Dave Pelzer will be speaking at the event.
