For the last three years, RCDC has brought a special educational seminar to the Riverside Community focusing on the emotional impact of diabetes. This year’s seminar, which will be held in both English & Spanish, is called Diabetes, Food and the Holidays: Preparing for the Perfect (Emotional) Storm. The seminar will cover both the physical and emotional aspects of managing diabetes during the upcoming holiday season and will feature a panel presentation by a motivational speaker, registered dietitian, and therapist.

There is a big push in our society to reduce obesity. Or is there? Lots of new foods and snacks are being created and marketed as “healthy”.
